Vistyne

My half of my art-trade with the fantastic , following on from the nifty little teaser I posted last week ([link]) ... FINALLY got this sorted after at least four false starts, actually (but more on that shortly).

First off, this is 's most excellent, smokingly redheaded demoness Vistyne, a veritable valkyrie powerhouse of deadly hotness. This comes along at a most opportune time, actually, given Soda's come along with a new redesign for Vistyne's look that moves away from the old leather bikini to something a little more up my street - namely functional leathers and big boots. Granted I've taken a little liberty with some of the costume (for a start to top's a bit more basque-like, a little bit of an in-joke between the two of us, that ... and I've added my requisite fingerless gloves and heavy-duty punky wristbands), but otherwise I like to think I've essentially captured the raw feral spirit of the character ...

As for the downers? Weeeeeell ... yeah, this was a bit of a trial by fire really. I've been making plenty of headway with Gimp, but this was my first SERIOUS effort with my brand new Wacom tablet, so I've been furiously working to break it in. For a while it really did look like it wasn't gonna work - struggled me arse off with a variety of approaches, each more clunky than the last ... and then, last minute this afternoon ... it just suddenly kinda CLICKED, and I HAD IT. So, thanks to an amateurish but surprisingly decent-looking combination of filters and trial-and-error sketchiness I finally rolled THIS off the line ...

So ... hope she likes it. I'm actually pretty pleased with it myself now I've finally finished it ...
