Never mind, what it REALLY stands for is a fight for freedom - so what if the plot failed, they were standing up against a hated tyrant. And so that's why I am, of course, celebrating with my SECOND favourite Alan Moore movie adaptation (after Watchmen, of course) - the spectacular V For Vendetta! And so, having watched said fave flick, here's some fan art. Enjoy! (I already got a feeling Catt will ...)

Yes I've wondered about that. Does the Monarchy have a problem with people celebrating that? Maybe not, as it happened so long ago, but still, there must be SOME negative emotion about the literal happenings that day commemorates.
The movie was really good, one of my casual favorites. It's one of those movies that's a rare oddity: It is neither better, nor worse than the source material. In fact, so many changes and omissions took place in the movie, it's practically a different story. Because of that, I can't truly compare the two materials; both are terrific on their own rights.
