Description
Okay, so being single means I'm not making art for anyone specific this Valentine's ... BUT! that doesn't mean I can't at least acknowledge the day itself, and so I finally got round to something I've been meaning to ink/colour for a while now, figured it might be the perfect time for it ...
So I did THIS, finishing 's super cute old Valentine's illo of her adorable white tiger girl Naobi Milos. I remember when I first came across this long months ago I kinda went a touch gaga, almost certainly watched Venus on the spot thanks to it () ... and I guess I always knew sooner or later I'd have a crack at it.
Once again I'm pleased with the results - this is only my second time doing a digital finish on SOMEONE ELSE'S work and this might actually be an even better hit ... it's more simple, certainly, but this time the pencils called for it, so I didn't do much. The sketch itself was a little rough so I did a bit of cleaning up before I inked it, but the linework is still pretty much all the original artist's ... In the end this was a really easy piece to do, and I THOROUGHLY enjoyed it ... So, as usual, I REALLY hope she likes it ...
Original pencils ([link]) and OC Naobi Milos by . Inks created with Pilot Hi-tecpoints on Bristol Board, digital colours created in Gimp 2.6 with Wacom Bamboo Pen. As always you can find my original inked lineart in my scrapbook: [link]
